Sony Vegas Issue [Windows 7]
Nov. 11th, 2012 12:13 pmI have recently purchased a new laptop (Win 7) that is powerful enough to vid in terms of hardware specs. I wanted to reinstall my Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 on it (that ran on my 2 previous Win 7 computers, including a less powerful laptop). It installed but crashed as from that moment on.
I decided to purchase Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11, in hope that it would work. I get the menu screen, but whenever I click on "Install Sony Vegas Movie Studio" nothing happens. I checked the trouble shooting links from Sony website, and tried all that they offer on it, including trying to install from the trial versions. Nothing worked, and the trial versions won't even load, no matter what I do (so I don't even get the installer menu).
I now fear that I'll have to switch to another software, which really peeves me, as I've been working with various versions of Sony Vegas for 7 years. So, if anyone had any input or brilliant idea, I would be highly grateful!
I didn't find a software: sony vegas tag, so this post is tagless for the time being.

If you're popping in an install CD that brings up that menu, you won't have that option, but if there's setup.exe or something on that disc if you navigate to it in Win explorer...
