This is a Dreamwidth vidding community and accepts new posts and content.

vidding on Dreamwidth is not a mirror of the old Livejournal vidding community at https://vidding.livejournal.com/

Instead, to preserve the history of vidding talk, we have created a static mirror of the old vidding Livejournal community.

vidding_livejournal_ark2 is a static archive of posts made to the Livejournal vidding community. It will be updated a few times a year as long as the Livejournal-->Dreamwidth importer continues to work. Anyone can join but no new posts will be allowed as it is in archival status

I'm trying to track down info on any analog (VCR) vidding that was going on in femslash fandoms in the 1990s (or earlier). Any suggestions on who might know about it?

The analog femslash vidding I know about:

Katharine made Ice (Babylon 5, Susan/Talia) in 1997/1998 and it was released on Media Cannibals Tape #3.

tarae made femslash vids for Xena and Voyager around 1998/1999, including 'The Mind of Love' (Janeway/Seven), 'Kiss The Girl' (Xena/Gabrielle), and 'Show Me' (Xena/Gabrielle). She later digitized the tape they were on and uploaded some to youtube.

I believe some analog vids were shown at Xena conventions in the US and Germany, but I don't know if anyone kept track of what was shown.
