Have any fanvids or AMVs ever been shown at any of the Worldcons. Perhaps in a fandom panel?

edited: we have the 2014 Worldcon info.  We are looking for panels or showcases - we assume private showings and room parties were a given. There is one suggestion below to those who still have Worldcon guides to search  through the program books manually.  Any help welcomed.

There was certainly a vid show at Worldcon in London a few years back - I can't remember the details now but perhaps someone else can.

Yes, I was going to say there was definitely at least one vidding panel at the London WorldCon I went to.

Yes, I went back and poked at my journal from the time - thank goodness for actual searchable social media...

It seems like there were two panels, presented by [personal profile] such_heights - there's a link to the playlist for one of them on her journal here

I can absolutely guarantee AMVs have been shown at WorldCons going back a long ways, if not as specifically scheduled programming with particular vids in mind, then at the very least in anime and LAN gaming rooms. And I'm just as confident that if you have access to archives to dig through programming materials you'll find some proper vid panels in within the last 20 years.

Like, not that WorldCon and skiffy con-running fandom as a whole has ever done well at embracing anime fandom but it's been an semi-underground thread for decades with skiffy cons. WorldCons in particular have been/were often a distribution site for high quality (aka 1st and 2nd generation) VHS copies from people who'd acquired the original tapes in Japan, back when 7th generation VHS originals and/or fansubs were still commonly the only way many Americans could access anime that hadn't been ripped apart and reassembled in pieces and overdubbed for airing in the US.

I had a vidwatching room party at last year's Discon, but other than that, I'm pretty sure the Loncon shows were the only official vid shows at a Worldcon in the last ten years. No idea about earlier than that.

There was intended to be something on fanvids at the 2010 Worldcon in Melbourne – I think it was on the academic track – but it ended up canceled for some reason (a group of us ended up watching vids on someone's ipad in the lobby instead :P)

I've been attending Worldcons since Reno in 2011 and the London panel is the only one I've seen on the program, that I remember. I've suggested a fan vid panel a couple of times but didn't have that panel selected for the program.

The Loncon 3 panel was in 2014, not 2015. Do you need a picture of the listing in the program book? I can dig it out and
