BAM vid vault?

Is it just me, or is BAM now demanding that you sign up even just to look at a vid, if it's not embedded/streaming somewhere else? I've clicked on half a dozen links in the last couple of days, both to vids and to vidder profile pages, and gotten redirected to a "log in / sign up" page, with no way to get to the vids. Is this new?

(It may not be - it's entirely possible that just always have watched BAM vids embedded in posts, and never realized that it required you to sign up. But suddenly I'm hitting links instead, and I can't get to the vids through them.)

BAM Vid Vault is a locked community on the Ning social networking site. It's kind of like locked communities here on Dreamwidth or LJ where you have to be a member AND logged in to see posts. So yeah, the only way to see the videos from BAM without logging in is if people embed their videos on other sites.

You're welcome! Now I'm wondering if people are now posting links instead because I don't think embeds affect the hit counters over on BAM.

I had to move all my files to 4Shared to keep from alienating a few good vidder friends who have their own hosting sites (and who only post to their own sites.
