but I swear, I have tried, and I cannot find the answer on my own. I'm using Windows Live Movie Maker and I want to make my video clips run backwards. Could anyone give me any advice on how to do that?
Thanks in advance!
(Mods: I'm sorry. I have tried to tag this post, to no avail; no matter what I type in it keeps telling me that I'm not allowed to add tags in this comm. Maybe today is just destined to be the day when I fail at doing things that should be absurdly simple.)

Date: 2011-10-24 03:26 am (UTC)I had to use other programs to get the results I wanted. It's been awhile, but I believe the process involved using VirtualDub, and an Avisynth script. Basically, write a script using Notepad, save it as an .avs file, open it using VirtualDub, mark in and out on the section you want, export it uncompressed (so you don't lose any quality,) import that into Movie Maker and edit on from there.
A sample Avisynth script for your particular problem would look a little bit like this (the variables can change depending on your setup):
DirectShowSource("c:\video.avi")
Reverse()
A search in Google for "reverse video windows live movie maker" turned up this tutorial for me. Pretty time-intensive, which might not serve your purposes.
This is just a general answer, since I don't know any particulars. I'd be happy to walk you through using VirtualDub and Avisynth if you are not familiar with them, since I use them constantly when vidding.
