vexercises - aka Vidding Exercises For Distraction - is running a series of challenge exercises for all skill levels from newbie to ancient to help keep our minds and hands occupied during, you know. The thing. We've developed a limited series of exercise prompts for one minute videos, designed to stretch the maker's creativity within a predefined set of constraints.
We're at the halfway point of
the first exercise, with a good number of works already completed and several more vidders still noodling around or working on theirs. We've also got a Talking Tech post up to help newbies find software and other tips. Additional suggestions welcome! Davinci Resolve seems popular (and free), if anyone wants to weigh in on that one in particular.
Check out the community and you can also see some (though not all) of the completed works
at the AO3 Collection if you're not in the mood to participate, but would still like to watch along, for inspiration or to give feedback to your fellows. Thanks!
